Welcome to this week’s edition of What’s Zed Got Going On?

We Like Clean WaterWe like Clean Water!

Most of you probably drink water occasionally.  And you might also know that beer is anywhere from 90 to 95% water.  It’s vital to our wellbeing, which is why Zed’s Beer has joined a number of clean-water advocacy groups including Brewers for Clean Water and Brewers for the Delaware River (we were a founding member).  It’s also why we were interviewed by CNBC to provide a brewer’s point of view on a reversal of parts of the Clean Water Act.  We encourage you to read the article and re-post it across social media.  Unlike a lot of things, this issue is pretty simple: manufacturing plants are no longer responsible for polluting our waterways as long as the pollution they create enters our water thru the ground and is not placed directly into the water.  Said differently, put a discharge hose into the river and you’re doing something wrong.  Put a discharge hose into the ground where the pollution will leach through the ground before entering the waterway and you’re ok.  It’s an issue that we believe everyone should be behind, unless, of course, you own a manufacturing plant of some kind that is thinking of taking advantage of the loophole the repeal created.  Want to do something more?  Here’s a link to the American Sustainable Business Council (of which we are also a member, natch.)

Four for Fall third release!  Four for Fall third release!

Join us this Thursday for the THIRD of four consecutive limited-run beers!  Zed’s Four for Fall: Salted Caramel will amaze you.  Let the beer warm a little bit and you’ll be rewarded with a soft, almost milky mouthfeel and smooth caramel finish.  First time I drank it I licked my lips and thought I just drank a Werther’s Original.  But at 7.9% ABV, it packs a little bit more than what you had as a kid.

As a reminder, I’ve only made 31 gallons of this beer.  We’re selling it by the 12 ounce glass only, no take-away.  Whatever is left will be put in 12 ounce cans and will be available Thursday, October 24.

Zed’s Four For Fall: Sweet&Tart is available in cans!  Zed’s Four For Fall: Sweet&Tart is available in cans!

Since we only have THIRTEEN 4-paks available, please limit your party to one 4-pak.  $13.50 per.

New Beer Alert!  New Beer Alert!
